Antihistamine tablets and syrups

An allergic skin reaction to an insect bite or sting can be treated with an antihistamine medicine taken by mouth. These reduce nettle-type rashes or hives and help with itching. Many can be bought without a prescription from your pharmacy.

Anti-itch creams
